Responsibilities
Will specialize in the following areas with opportunities to advance: Cut Floor Harvest Floor Packaging
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Work safely and comply with company and regulatory safety/environmental policies, practices and procedures
- Cut, trim or clean meat
- Identify cut or grade of meat Inspect meat to ensure product meets quality standards
- Clean and fold meat product
- Operate food processing equipment/machinery
- Ensure proper housekeeping throughout the shift and in all department areas
- Situations may arise that require employees to temporarily or permanently assume responsibility for tasks not specifically outlined in this job description.
- Employees may be requested to work additional hours and/or accommodate a heavier than normal workload.
Qualifications
- Previous production and/or livestock experience is preferred
- Ability to work with a knife
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks
- Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds on a routine basis
- Ability to stand/walk/twist/bend/kneel/squat as necessary
- Ability to handle hot and cold conditions (must dress according to weather) and be aware of any wet floors or other hazards
