Multi-faceted accounting role with involvement in all accounting functions. Primary responsibilities include A/P, A/R, and sales tax accounting. Candidates should be organized, have strong attention to detail, and excellent communication and problem-solving skills. They also need to be comfortable working with vendors and suppliers, and be able to resolve payment discrepancies or disputes.

Responsibilities

File and pay multi-state sales and local tax, use tax, business licenses, annual reports and other miscellaneous tax related activities. Calculate sales tax rates based on state and local tax codes, apply exemptions for products or services, and track changes in tax codes over time. Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and sales tax laws. Set-up, monitor, and maintain tax codes.

Qualifications

Accounting-related experience or formal education and/or proven track record in work experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
