Corridor Welcomes New Board Members for 2025

The Iowa Lakes Corridor Development Corporation (Corridor) will welcome four new board members for 2025: Katherine Cota, Director of the Lamberti Center for Rural Entrepreneurship at Buena Vista University in Storm Lake; Todd Glasnapp, Supervisor at Emmet County; Brett Johnson, City Councilman at the City of Spirit Lake; and Matt Ricklefs, City Councilman at the City of Storm Lake.
Cota, Glasnapp, Johnson and Ricklefs were voted by membership to three-year terms on the board starting January 1, 2025. The new members will add their leadership experience and guidance to the Board of Directors as the Corridor continues to help the region’s businesses thrive and to ensure its residents enjoy an active and rewarding quality of life in the Iowa Lakes Corridor region.
“The Corridor’s Board of Directors holds a wealth of experience and knowledge that they generously share with our staff to guide the organization and growth of our four-county region,” said Corridor President & CEO Curt Strouth. “We are excited to have all four of these individuals join our board in 2025 to continue to drive the ship toward opportunity for the region and Northwest Iowa.”
Returning for three-year terms are Donavon Wunschel, City Councilman at the City of Spencer; Keith Deitering, VP Wealth Management at Bank Midwest in Spirit Lake; and Matt Beaver, Owner of KILR Radio in Estherville.
Other returning board members include: Board Chair Nate Wittmaack, RANCO Fertiservice; Past Chair Brad Beck, Beck Engineering; Vice Chair Ebony Rahe, Williams & Company; Treasurer Jed Skogerboe, Iowa Lakes Electric Cooperative; Walter DeBock, Tyson Turkey Operations; Drew Hage, Spirit of Okoboji; Mike Koenecke, Cotton Grave Farm Management & Realty; Michelle Nicoson, moveero, Inc.; and Brenda Tiefenthaler, Spencer Hospital.
Tim Fairchild, Dr. Brian Lenzmeier, John Pluth and Mike Porsch will end their terms on December 31, 2024. Lenzmeier served on the board for four years and Fairchild, Pluth and Porsch served for six years.
The Corridor Board of Directors consists of four Corridor member representatives from each of the four counties in the region, Buena Vista, Clay, Dickinson, and Emmet. Board members serve three-year terms and are eligible for up to two consecutive terms.
