PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE AND BID DEADLINE FOR SALE OF PROPERTY


Public Notice is hereby given that the City Council of Milford, Iowa (“City”) is considering the sale of public property commonly referred to as the “Old City Hall”. The City
property is located at 1021 10th Street, Milford, Iowa and is legally described as:


The North 68 Feet of Lot 2 of Block 9, North Milford, in the County of Dickinson, Iowa;
And
The North 68 Feet of Lot 1 of Block 9, North Milford, in the County of Dickinson, Iowa;
And
Lots 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 of Block 9, North Milford, in the County of Dickinson, Iowa


The following conditions apply to the potential sale of this public property:
• The real estate (building and underlying land) will be sold "as is", "no warranty", "no return" with no express or implied warranties or guarantees of any kind.
• The City's transfer of the real estate shall be by Quit Claim Deed.
• The successful bidder must comply with all requirements of the City.
• The bidder must follow all applicable zoning regulations with expected future use of the building.
• Successful bidder will be required to pay in full by “collected funds” certified check, cashier’s check, wire transfer or bank draft (in the City’s sole and complete discretion) payable to the City.
• In the event of multiple identical high bids, the earliest received bid may be given preference.
• The City reserves all its rights, including but not limited to, the right to determine the party that is a successful responsible bidder and to reject any and all bids and rebid, to remove the property from the bidding process, and to waive any irregularities.
• Closing to occur within 60 days of awarding of bid.


Bids are due by September 19, 2025 at 12:00 p.m.


A public hearing will be held and bids will be considered at the September 22, 2025
council meeting at 6:30 p.m. unless tabled/continued to a later date.
Any party of interest may attend the hearing in person or by legal counsel. A copy of the
associated documents/information is on file and available for public viewing at the City Clerk’s
Office.
